Who we are
God has strategically placed Cornerstone Inheritance House in Winona Lake, Indiana. Why? You might ask. We believe that God is calling back the rich history of revival and of God's presence that had originally established this area. Cornerstone Inheritance House is a community outreach hub supplying spiritual, economical and emotional support to our neighbors in Winona Lake, Indiana and the Kosciusko county area.
We believe that we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community while remaining devoted to prayer, to praising Jesus and to christian fellowship. The Cornerstone Inheritance House is a place where worship, prayer, discipleship and acts of service bring life and resources to hurting people by showing the love and character of Christ.
Ministry History
Winona Lake, known as a place of provision and a gathering place of God's 5-fold ministry, is a glacier lake community containing many natural artisan springs. These springs have formed what we know today to be Spring Fountain Park. We believe that these springs also contain the "wells of revival", God's living water, that birthed the great revival of baseball legend turned evangelist, Billy Sunday.
From 1911-1935, he and his family lived, preached and built The Lord's Tabernacle on Winona Lake. Today, Billy Sunday's home has been preserved as a museum and sits just blocks away from our own Cornerstone Inheritance House. Billy Sunday's home has been lovingly preserved by our neighbors at Grace College & Christian Seminary. In 1949, Billy Graham was also commissioned in prayer at Winona Lake as he began his crusade ministry. His crusades have impacted hundreds of thousands of people from then until his passing in 2018.
Youth for Christ was started in Winona and boasted the largest Christian Conference Center of its time. And now,, we at Cornerstone, want to partner with God in prayer and acts of service to bring back and open up those deep "wells of revival" so that many will know and encounter the Lord. May the living water of the Holy Spirit flow in abundance in Winona Lake. May the "wells of revival" burst forth again for this is our city's inheritance! "Stone by stone and prayer by prayer, we're building lives of inheritance!"
